Circuit Riders

In Memory

This page is dedicated to the memory of  The Circuit Riders that have completed their rounds.

Ronnie Ballou of the Thornton, TX chapter, The Light Keepers. Born January 14, 1961, he traded his motorcycle for a white horse October 30Th, 2008 after hitting a deer on his ride to work.

I received a phone call at 6:35 AM from our local policeman informing me that Brother Ronnie Ballou, my assistant pastor, struck a deer on his motorcycle while on his way to work a little after 6 AM.  Pastor Ronnie was killed instantly in the accident.  He leaves behind a dear wife: Dealva, a son: Jody, two daughters: Christie and Jennifer.

I am personally feeling a great loss.  Brother Ronnie has served me as my right hand and armor bearer for a number of years.  He has served First Assembly of God, Thornton as church elder, assistant pastor, worship leader and many other capacities for many years.  Our church family, our community as well as many teacher, administrators and hundreds of children of the Groesbeck Independent School District are sensing a great loss in the passing of our friend and brother.

We all covet your prayers.

    When I Must Leave You
When I must leave you
for a little while
Please do not grieve
and shed wild tears
And hug your sorrow to you
through the years.
But start out bravely
with a gallant smile;
And for my sake and in my name
Live on and do all things the same,
Feed not your loneliness
on empty days,
But fill each waking hour
in useful ways,
Reach out your hand in comfort
and in cheer
And I in turn will comfort you
And hold you near;
And never, never be afraid to die,
For I am waiting for you
in the sky!

JUNE 24, 2010The Texas Motorcycle Rights Association is sad to announce that our great Leader, Sputnik, passed away suddenly at approximately 5:00 AM this morning. I woke up at 5:45AM to find him on the living floor at the state office. It appeared that he crossed over quickly and did not suffer, from a massive heart attack. via Terri Williams
